Development at Hayesfield Girls' School in Bath

We have recently completed a stand-out development project for Hayesfield Girls' School in Bath. The project included creating a newly extended dining room and an additional drama classroom and terrace overlooking the school grounds, which together have enhanced the facilities and made a significant contribution to improving the school estate.

Despite the issues presented during construction by the global pandemic, the building was completed at the end of 2021 to the original budget. The students, teachers and client are all delighted with the new improved facilities.

Sensitive design to complement surroundings

Hayesfield Girls' School is located within a Conservation Area and a World Heritage Site, so the final design and building materials needed to be carefully selected to complement their surroundings. Hookway was appointed for full project management services, including quantity surveyor and principal designer duties, to help deliver this successful project...read full case study
